Well, the trip to ROCK ISLAND, Illinois was FANTASTIC! Got to visit with Artemis ab Zzaj & his wife Suzanne... ate at 3 or 4 local restaurants, drank a few lattes together & had a TUNNA FUN together! Also firmed up the migration (quite a bit, tho' I never trust these contract deals until the INK is DRY) from th' job I'm in to one that will KEEP me HERE in th' states! WHOO-ee!!!! I'm (almost) HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY!

Wrote a review or two for issue 59 1/2 last nite... surely feels good knowin' that I will (prob'ly) be able to "open up" IMPROVIJAZZATION NATION again for submissions!

I'm avoiding th' news like it's the PLAGUE... 'tis downright DEPRESSING to see how rapidly this "war on terror" is disintegrating into (nothing more than) a "re-election scheme". Makes me believe that th' conspiracy theorists may not be that far off the mark when they talk about our "leaders" pullin' OBL outta' their "majick hat" 2 weeks before th' vote.

My son Andy has a series of job interviews lining up... 2 this last week, 1 or 2 next... it's so NICE for him to have CHOICES about where he'll start off his career... much of this (I believe) was prompted by his MOUS certification... heck, they're callin' HIM, not the other way around!

Well, got to run... mo' later, gators!

Some news... travels to th' center of thee nation... will be HERE next Tuesday through Friday. We (my boss & I & his boss) are presenting a briefing on the database package we've developed for tracking Civilinas, Trouble Reports, Spare parts, etc., in combat zones - we call it OP TRAKS. Keep yer' "finners" crost for me - this COULD lead to a job that is NON-deployable... hmmmm!

Just finished up a large CD order for a new acquaintance - KIERON... he's a really nice guy & a great player of inspirational music, so check his site out when you have a moment, eh?

I'll be outta' town for most of the month of June, over at THIS PLACE.... expect it will be (much more) like Barstwo, California was last fall... HOT & STEAMY!

I've posted the "up-front" schedule for the 2004 Olympia Experimental Music Festival (it came direct-feed from the festival's curator, Arrington Di Dionyso)... please check the page/schedule out - this is the festival's TENTH year, so it's gonna' be a H-U-G-E par-tee, no doubt! Just in case you don't have time to visit th' page, here is the info on passes...

Full Pass prices for the 10th Annual Olympia Experimental Music Festival have now been set!

They are available on a reservation basis for a mere $23. That's 73 cents per act! To make your reservation by phone call festival organizer Arrington at (360) 402-6263 or e-mail him.

That's about it for now... keep in touch, eh?
